Meet our Service Manager
Dwight Thornton heads up our service department.
Dwight supervises our 4 full time mechanics and schedules service. If you have a trailer related problem, give him a buzz. We have so much experience that we can often solve your issue over the phone!

Meet our Senior Mechanic
Roscoe Arnold turned 80 his last birthday and he still works everyday! Roscoe's quite the character too, he refuses to us a creeper, perferring a piece of cardboard on the hard concrete floor!
We say Roscoe's as tough as a cheap steak!
All kidding aside, we don't know what we'd do without him. Roscoe retired from Westinghouse a couple of decades ago and is a regular whiz with electrical problems like trailer lights that work one minute and don't the next. You know, the kind of stuff that drives the rest of us nuts!

Need a gooseneck hitch installed?
A new brake controller?
A tarp repaired on a dump truck?
Lights or brake issues with your trailer?
Need a ladder rack on your truck or trailer?
We do it all! Our welding and fabricating capabilities make repairing wrecked or bent trailers easy work for us.
We're resonable too!
With labor rates in the Triange sneaking up to $100 per hour, our customers tell us our $55 per hour is a breath of fresh air!
Trailering & The Law
Have you noticed more trucks pulling trailers being stopped by law enforcement lately. We sure have and many of our customers come in with horror stories of big fines and being held on the side of the road because of safety defects. Some feel they are being picked on but lets face reality, your family is out on the road too and nobody wants to see their loved ones hurt in a preventable accident.
We know the law, from CDL requirements to tie down regulations, to inspection requirements and would be pleased to offer advice and service or parts to help you comply and be safe.
Note! All trailers licensed in NC must have an annual safety inspection IF their gross weight is over 4000 pounds. This means a single axle trailer weighing 1000# hauling a 3000# load is required to have a sticker!
We do Federal Safety Inspections in lieu of a NC Safety Inspection. The advantage to you is Federal inspections are accepted nationwide.
Tie down requirements for hauling equipment have changed too. Come see us and we'll sell you the proper chains, binders, straps, etc. We'll also be happy to show you the correct way to attach them to your load.
If you pull a trailer with a GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) of 10,000 pounds the law requires a CDL or class B license. Get caught without it and you face a fine PLUS points on your license. To see if this affects you, check the GVWR tag on your trailer. Getting a commercial license is a hassle for some folks. Applicants must take a written test, a driving test and have to demonstrate they can perform a safety inspection before moving their equipment each day. Each test requires an appointment. If this is more than you or your workers can handle, give us a call. We will review your load capacity needs and let you know if we have a trailer that will fit your requirements. We may have one that does not require a special license!
Remember our Motto:
"If it has wheels and you tow it, we'll fix it"
